Inclusive Teaching with a Montessori Mind frame is a project with an aim to improve the teaching environment in three different classrooms. The Montessori philosophy incorporates many elements of students’ choice. We would like to purchase materials that reflect the diversity of our classrooms. The inclusion of these materials to the array of work that students may choose from will enable us to fulfill our vision. Our vision is to have a cultural work area in each of our classrooms that reflects students of differing physical abilities, cultures, and languages. All of our students from the ones born with chronic medical conditions to the ones who do not speak English should see a classroom that reflects them and everything about that makes them special.
