Annual Recognition Awards

Each year, the SCSD Educational Foundation recognizes individuals, businesses, and organizations that have given above and beyond in providing support to teachers, students, and programs in the Syracuse City School District.

These awards are presented at the Foundation’s Annual Recognition Breakfast which is held in March (March 25, 2023). This is the most significant fundraiser for the Foundation, and proceeds from this event are donated back to teachers in city schools for supplemental education program. Anyone in the Syracuse City School District or in the Central New York community can submit a nomination. All nominations are reviewed by the Foundation’s Board of Directors and award winners are notified prior to the breakfast. A public announcement is distributed to local media outlets as well. Award recipients are invited to attend the breakfast and accept their award at that time.
