The Syracuse City School District (SCSD) Educational Foundation is pleased to announce, and gratefully acknowledges, that Terakeet has made a $10,000 donation to support the Foundation’s annual education grants program that directly benefits students and teachers in Syracuse City Schools. Terakeet has made this donation through their internal nonprofit philanthropic organization, Cause for the Cuse.
Founded and run entirely by Terakeet employees in 2013, Cause for the Cuse has donated over $180,000 to ensure students in the Syracuse City School District have the supplies they need to succeed. These have included warm clothing, hygiene products, and school supplies. Funds are raised by Terakeet employees through company and community events. Due to the pandemic, Cause for the Cuse was unable to support students and families in conventional ways, so they chose to support the SCSD Educational Foundation grants program. In addition, Terakeet has also purchased two hundred laptops for District students and provided community hotspots giving Syracuse City school children the opportunity to study and learn remotely.
