Growing Lunch

PSLA/Fowler High School

Foundation Grants
Back to projects

Growing Lunch is a great way for students to understand where their food comes from and how to actually grow it.  The students will raise various types of vegetables (4 kinds of lettuce, spinach, radishes and cherry tomatoes) in the high school greenhouse in order to gain an awareness of the variety of  plants, their care, their taste and uses in food preparation. Learning horticulture skills can be transferred to other areas of life.
